A Dove holding plastic, flying over the Mount of Olives towards her nest in the south wall of the Temple. This work is from “Land as Theater” and explores, among other things, the history embedded in the land and how it can be weaponized into various forms of hate. Each time I click the shutter, connect to the land, and converse with the spirits of the past, I am committing a political act. As in prayer, I give thanks and ask forgiveness at once.
